I am pleased to announce I am featured in a hometown magazine for the month of November Slice Magazine in Oklahoma City did a wonderful article on me as well as some beautiful pictures. I had a formal interview with one of their very talented writers and a photo shoot. There are several pictures of me in the studio and the backyard. And yes, I did clean before the photographer came! The article can be viewed online @ sliceok.com/creative/ and go exploring. http://www.sliceok.com/November-2014/Creative-Catalysts-Driving-Art-in-Central-Oklahoma/

I went on a wonderful retreat this past weekend to Robbers Cave State Park. It is a truly beautiful place. The scenery alone is absolutely inspiring. I also got to spend the weekend with wonderful people. This group of ladies are art therapists from all over the state of Oklahoma. They use their talents and creativity to help people. The purpose of the weekend was to "just make art". We made matchbox journals, shared materials and ideas, worked on our own projects and most importantly soaked up positive, creative energy from each other! I made a promise to myself on the drive home that I would not go a day without art. No matter how I fit it in, art will be in my life everyday! To help others, I have to keep myself well and in a good place. Art is my happiness, my link to satisfying my soul.
I like to consider myself a free-spirit! I would love to be a gypsy when I grow up!
