It has come to my attention that I need to put together an email list for my followers. The emails would include new works, upcoming shows & when I do my famous "studio cleansing" sale. Plus anything else I consider news worthy. If you would like to be on this list, please send your email address to: firstname.lastname@example.org & put "art list" in the subject line. I would never sell your email to anyone, even if I knew how! :) Look forward to hearing from you all!
This week was Spring Break around here. So in honor of that, I came up with this. Someone ask me once where my ideas came from...I think it might look something like this! I don't get school holidays anymore. This was as close as I got this week.
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do! I just can't seem to get rid of much. I'm afraid I might need it for something. I may need someone to come in & do it for me. I'm sure if it's gone I won't miss it but I can't bring myself to put it in the trash bag....
Decided to use this disaster & turn it into good. Studio is getting a complete makeover! Put in new carpet & painted a wall peacock blue & got new shelves (that match). I'm going to try hard to move outta my "I might need this for something" zone & into "girl who are you kidding" zone, while I TRY to consolidate & throw things away... Just thinking about it makes be break out into a sweat! Wish me luck! :)
Because of a HUGE water bill in January, it was discovered that there was a leak in the house. Two different plumbers came out & finally the leak was found. Well not exactly found, more like a "it's probably here". Which just happened to be under my studio floor. Of all the rooms in my house, this had to be the room! There is more junk in here than in the rest of the house combined. So I started the long process of clearing the room, even removing the carpet. The stuff took over several rooms & a bathroom. The plumber comes back & decides the leak is not under my studio floor, it's in the main bathroom. Imagine that, a leak, in a bathroom! This guy was supposed to be a leak specialist... So with "X" marking the spot on the floor, another plumber came to tear up the tile & fix the leak. Guess what? No leak there either! So now my studio & master bath are both tore up & there is STILL a leak. Leak ended up being under one of the sinks. $1000 later, leak is fixed but the repairs to the rooms begin... Stay tuned for more Insanity from The Studio!!!
I like to consider myself a free-spirit! I would love to be a gypsy when I grow up!
